Indonesian Rijsttafel

The Indonesian rijsttafel (pronounced: RYST-tah-fell), a Dutch word that translates literally to "rice table", is an elaborate meal adapted by the Dutch from the Indonesian feast. Appetizer: lunpia -2 (bamboo shoot egg roll with chicken and shrimp)
Salad: gado-gado (Javanese salad with peanut sauce)
Soup: soto betawi (Jakarta beef and tendon soup with coconut milk)
Main Dish: Rendang (dried beef curry) & sate ayam (chicken satay)
Dessert: kolak pisang (bananas stewed with coconut milk)
Side: nasi putih (steamed rice)
