Black Rice Pudding (Bubur Ketan Item)


Ingredient:
Black grain glutinous rice

Coconut milk sauce:
Cook coconut milk, add water, salt, and flour to make it thick.

Soak the black rice in water. Cook in slow cooker for 4 hours, high setting temperature. Add in salt and sugar.

Beef Chili


Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 lb red kidney bean
1 medium onion, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
32 oz beef stock
salt and pepper
paprika powder
cumin powder
garlic powder
bay leaves

Soak red kidney bean in water. Stir fry: ground beef and onion. Put all ingredients in slow cooker and cook high for 6 hours.



Mango Salsa


Ingredients:
1 mango
2 tomatoes
3 stalks celery
1 red pepper
1 small red onion

1 lemon, get the juice
1 tbs olive oil
salt and pepper
chili powder if you want spicy

Chopped all ingredients in food processor. Add in lemon juice, olive oil, chili powder, salt, and pepper.

Kaastengels (cheese cookies)


1 stick unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup cheese (grated Edam or Gouda cheese)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg yolk

2 egg yolks for garnish

Preheat oven at 350 F. Mix all the ingredients and form the cookies. Put it in the oven for 15 minutes, spread the egg yolk for garnish, and bake again for 15 minutes.
